Fall Neutrals

I love fashion in the fall. The colors are warm and cozy, plaid is everywhere, and it's all about layering textures and patterns. It's easily my favorite season.

Here are a few things I'm coveting right now.

earrings: Kendra Scott | polish: Essie | purse: Tory Burch
booties: BC | bracelet: Victoria Emerson | infinity scarf: Modcloth

I've been on a bit of a fall shopping binge lately but it's tough not to shop when there are so many cute options out there! What have you picked up for the fall season?

New Products I Love

So a few weeks ago I got a haircut - one different than what I've been sporting basically since college. You know the one, long with layers and a medium shade of brown. I occasionally tried bangs and would try different colors, but basically the same thing.

Now I have a Lob, or a long bob. It's still slightly past my shoulders, it's very subtle, but it feels so different to me! So with the new style I started seeking out some new products just to freshen things up.

And then I found Not Your Mothers line.

The hair lifter is great - doesn't leave my hair crunchy if I miss it with my round brush.

The hairspray I have already reordered several times. I use a LOT of hair spray (poor EH and Moose) but this is great. Goes on light so it is easy to layer until I have the control I want.

Can't complain about the dry shampoo - though if I get a little heavy handed it does leave white residue, which is bad for brunettes. But it's pretty easy to rub in. Definitely a fan.

Plus the price point is awesome.

Staying with the budget friendly price point, I've also really enjoyed e.l.f. Mineral Face Primer. For $6 you can't beat it and really I feel like it has performed just as well as the Smashbox version I typically use.

And to finish off my face, I really dig the Nyx Matte Finishing Spray. It scares me every time I spray it though, haha.

Have you tried any of these, or have any other budget friendly recs? And just so we're clear, this is not a sponsored post! Just what I have picked up lately from Target. :)

A Few Random Favorites

We're on the downhill slope to the weekend! I've been on a bit of an online shopping and app downloading binge lately with being cooped inside the  majority of the time and thought I'd share a few of my new favorites.

Bear with me, they are pretty random!

First is Too Faced Brow Envy Shaping Kit:

My best friend Kitty has had this kit and any time we were together I would sneak it out of her make-up bag to borrow. I finally sucked it up after years without it and this is a game changer. So thanks Kitty! I owe you your next kit!

Jumping to the next, after giving up on Candy Crush but still itching for a new game to pass the time occasionally, I found Shades.

I've gotten a lot further along than level 182 (I promise!) but wanted to grab a quick screenshot. It's sort of like Tetris where you stack the different color blocks until they become the darkest color. It's somewhat soothing and stressful at the same time.

Moving back into beauty products - I'm really loving Batiste Dry Shampoo for Brunettes.

I wash, blow-dry and curl my hair almost every single day. Aaaand get my hair cut maybe 2-3 times a year. I'm trying to remedy that, and save myself some time in the morning. Batiste has helped me with this. I've usually shied away because dry shampoos left a white residue unless I crazy rubbed it in, but this stuff is made just for brunettes. Plus the scent makes your hair smell clean as opposed to smelling like a scent that is just covering your dirty hair. You can't febreze your hair people.

Well, I guess you can but I don't think that you should.

And finally, something for the home. I felt fancy at Target one day (lol.) and purchased their Caldrea Collection hand soap. The bottle is so much prettier than the usual $1-3 plastic pump bottle I buy, and the scents are really nice but not overpowering.

Have you found a new random product that you're digging? I'd love to hear about it!

Hope everyone is staying warm and happy! Spring is bound to get here soon, right?

Every Day Favorites

As much as I do love trying new beauty products and playing with the infinite options, there are always a handful of products that I return to over and over again. Below are a few of my favorite drug-store items - minus one but it's not a bank-breaker and it really is awesome so I thought I would go ahead and include it!

1 - Maybelline Falsies Mascara - In between Sephora mascara splurges I always gravitate back to Maybelline mascaras. The pink and green tube works great but the Falsies line is my absolutely favorite.

2 - Opi Rapidry Quick Dry Topcoat - I took a chance and ordered this from Amazon a few weeks ago after messing up multiple home manicures in one night. It's not that I'm not patient per say..it's really that I can't sit still and there is a certain fluffy dog that always seems to be begging for a scratch behind the ears after a manicure. Woops! This seems to help a TON - just wait 45 seconds after your final coat (and base coat, just to ensure the shine) and voila! Your nails are dry. I am still super impressed by this.

3 - Essie Fifth Avenue polish - A little more pink in person versus the image, but I wore this shade as the first post-winter-blueish gray color I previously sported and this bright color was fun and put me in a good mood. Great color to wear later into spring and also summer!

4 - Essie A Crewed Interest - I love this soft pink shade. I think it will work on all skin tones and is the perfect spring color without being too sweet. I've been wearing this all week and it am still very pleased with it.

5 - Almay Color + Care Lip Gloss - I've tried several of the different shades and they are all very pretty and sheer enough to not scare you away but Rosy Lipped has been the color I have bought repeatedly. Works great even on dry lips and provides a really pretty shine. I will keep buying this until they discontinue! (Please Almay, please don't discontinue!)

6 - St. Ive's Oatmeal and Shea Butter Lotion - I use the shower gel version of this as well and I love both equally. Anytime I try to stray, nothing ever compares. I love the clean, fresh scent and it helps keep even wintry dry skin nice and moisturized. I don't care if it's not very fancy - it smells amazing and works well so why change!

Hopefully the weather is warming up near you and also that you found a little every day inspiration to amp up the spring season! If you have favorite every day products, I hope you'll leave a comment and let me know!
